Speaker Advice on the End of the Afrika Korps
Today I added a translation of speaker material from May 1943 on the end of the African campaign. Three months earlier, Stalingrad had fallen. Now there was more bad news. Speakers are told to present the withdrawal from Africa not as a defeat, but rather as the end of a brilliant campaign that gave Germany the time it needed to fortify Europe, and prevented the British and Americans from assisting the Soviet Union.
